Team Alberta NAIG Athletics Trials for Cross Country and Track and Field are being held from September 16-18th in Edmonton. The North American Indigenous Games will be held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in July 2023. This international, multi-sport event celebrates youth, volunteerism and Indigenous culture.

CALLING ALL SOCCER ATHLETES (U16 & U19 Male and Female)!! Tryouts will be held for Team Alberta Soccer to attend the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG). The North American Indigenous Games will be held in Halifax Nova Scotia in July 2023. This international, multi-sport event celebrates youth, volunteerism and Indigenous culture.

The Edmonton tryouts on September 17th will be held at Clarke Stadium from 10:30am-12pm. After tryouts - Athletes, families, and friends are invited to attend the FC Edmonton Professional Soccer match. Come join your fellow North American Indigenous Games, Team Alberta participants and hopefuls at the FC Edmonton game on Saturday, September 17th at 2pm when the Eddies play host to Cavalry FC in an all Alberta matchup!

The Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta and Alberta Amateur Wrestling Association are excited to announce that Team Alberta will be sending athletes to the 2023 North American Indigenous Games in Nova Scotia next July!
Coaches Shawn Daye-Finley and Taylor McPherson will be heading up the program and are seeking any interested eligible athletes born 2004-2008.
